Oscar Live-Blogging in just one day!

As requested by Señor Pájaro, I shall be live-blogging the Oscars on this site, sitting in my hotel room (rather spacious for just me!) in lovely Vancouver, Canada, where I am staying for the Society for Cinema Studies conference.
